WeekNight Testing is Back

Inspiration? The magic that transpired at   Skills Matter   on 23-Mar-2011 when   WeekNightTesting went LIVE   with   Markus Gaertner   facilitating from Hamburg,   LisaCrispin   from San Francisco and   Mike   and I from London has inspired us to take WeekNight Testing out of the chat app to LIVE testing sessions. How do we plan to do it? Testers meet at a common location in the evening at around 17:45 UK Time with their laptops and energy to test, question, learn, discuss about testing. At 18:00 the test session facilitator announces a testing challenge that is time boxed for an hour. Testers have the freedom to pair up with other testers or work on their own to meet the challenge. My journey to the MiagiDo School

This was something that I always had at the back of my mind but some how just could not do it. This year one of the objectives I set myself was to get into the MiagiDo School. Markus  Gaertner   had asked me to ping him in the beginning of Jan this year when I enquired about him being my mentor end of last year. Ping I did which was followed by an introduction to the MiagiDo School and the FAQ's.  What I like the most about this school is every tester in it has to go thru a testing challenge, prove his worth and then he/she is granted a belt and access to the MiagiDo School forum. How simple and yet great is that. Isn't it one of the best peer review or recommendations one could make? This one thought of to be among such fantastic testers inspired me more. Next Event - Speaking @ TMF

Hi All, Francis Balfe and I will be at the UK Test Management Forum to talk about recent challenges, test strategy and methods which worked for us in our recent project. We hope to get loads of feedback from the audience :) I also look forward to a lot of other great sessions lined up at the forum especially the talk from Mark Crowther.
